Raviz Inn

I stayed for five days and got a discount for booking that long. The staff were all good to me. There’s a food lodge here with a good selection, and the biryani is famous. I’d definitely come back next time I’m in town.

The price for a single AC room was reasonable at 1200/day, and there are Chinese, North Indian and other dishes right next door, so food wasn’t a concern. Sohini from the hotel was friendly and helped me through the reservation and all the little details. But my first night at Raviz hotel inn was terrible. I arrived at 10 pm for a two-night stay, having already paid part of the amount in advance, and they didn’t provide a clean bedsheet, towel or pillow cover. The blanket had holes in it too. When I returned from work the next day, the floor was mopped and the sheets, pillow cover and towel were clean, but the blanket was still in bad shape. Why hadn’t they done this from the start? The first impression really wasn’t good. The photos are from two different days.

It’s cheap, but the stay wasn’t worth the money. The sheets were filthy, the rooms were a dump, the food was stale and the staff’s behaviour was terrible. The location is good but very noisy. As for parking, there’s none to speak of: the place is right on Jadubabu Bazaar off Hawkers Corner.

Such a lovely place in a good location. The staff behave well, and service boy sourav was good.
