Siamton Inn - A Cygnett Collection

We found this to be a great budget option, especially for families. The people at the hotel were friendly and cooperative, and the staff were welcoming and helpful, particularly the security guards. There's a nice restaurant right next door, and the food there is wonderful. We had a lovely experience.

I was in Kolkata for family events and stayed here for two nights. The room was clean and well serviced, and the bathroom was tidy with a great shower. The breakfast buffet was really good, too. Everyone on staff was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Pachu and Raja were especially helpful. I'd have no problem staying here again.

The only small snag was getting an Uber sometimes, because the hotel is farther down Park Street on the one-way system.

Getting around from the hotel is easy, and the location is convenient. Hygiene was acceptable, though it needs significant improvement. The standard room felt a little cramped for two, and the chairs weren't comfortable; the table wasn't suitable for working either. They serve breakfast as a buffet, but lunch and dinner aren't available in that format. The vegetarian food they provide is good. I'd stick with the complimentary breakfast and go to one of the many good nearby restaurants for dinner, especially around Park Street.
