The place is inexpensive and decent, with enough rooms across a span of three or four houses, though the surrounding area is quite congested. The internet speed wasn't good. Staff understand Hindi and Nepali, but I can't say how well they know English.

During the Eid holiday I struggled to find a room, after trying places across both high and low price ranges and finding them all booked. I finally found a few rooms still available here, near marquise street. The outside looked a bit dirty, but the rooms and service were quite nice for the price. They had air-conditioned rooms with single, couple, or double beds for three people. I paid 1300 rupees a night for a double room for three, which was a good deal in that situation.

Check-in and check-out are both at 12:00 PM. Hotel Gulistan, Kolkata has air-conditioned rooms and offers dry cleaning and laundry service. Nearby places include Majerhat Railway Station, 5.39 km away, Sadhu Khan Medical Hall at 4.73 km, Enclave Shopping Centre at 4.61 km, and a State Bank Of India ATM about 4.68 km away. There are around 155 restaurants within 2 km, plus about four nightclubs within 5 km. The hotel presents itself as a cosy place to stay, with city light views and a range of amenities.

The hotel's location is good, but the condition isn't, and the prices are very high. A few days ago I was in Panjab, where food and accommodation were very cheap. You should learn from others.

Harun Rashid sir is especially great to have around. He's very nice and supportive, and so is every staff member. Thanks a lot to all of them.
