Sterling Guest House by OYO Rooms

The bathroom was tiny, the bed cushions weren't good, and the geyser didn't work. In winter I had to bathe in cold water. I was also charged an extra 60 rs for a Bisleri water bottle, even though I'd asked for water from an aquaguard. The food was extremely bad and the service was horrible. This was my worst experience in an OYO room, at hotel OYO 63269. I'm highly disappointed and hope action is taken so no one else has to go through this.

They list the rooms in the OYO app as if they work with the company, but in person they told me there was no direct connection and their rooms cost much more. So why was the app showing 850/-? Booking online, I paid 207/- first and was supposed to pay the remaining 619/- there. Instead, they unexpectedly charged me another 470/- for no clear reason. Their phone coordinator had first said I would need to pay 454/- more. When I asked for a bill, they wouldn't give me one, and they cut the call in a very strange way. They didn't explain anything and treated me extremely badly. This was the worst experience I've had with a cheating and fraudulent company.

I had trouble at check-in. I booked through a third-party platform for 665/-, but the hotel manager demanded more, saying the total was 800. If they can't provide a room at the third-party app's price, why list the property there? The rooms, service, and location were good. I really like White House, and based on those things I was willing to pay more than my booking price. With such a beautiful guest house, though, they should set the rate properly. Thank you.

Inside, this place had a steel bed, a low-quality mattress, and a dirty washroom, despite looking like the White House of the US from outside. They charged 3100 for two days. The owner seems to be there in name only, without management skills or the ability to make decisions. It used to be good when OYO managed it, but now it feels like a dharamsala. Worst hotel I've found in kolkata.
