Super Collection O Ruby Formerly Hiland International

The staff were humble, well behaved, and hardly interfered during my stay. That kind of service is rare in my years of travel. The room and bathroom were well managed and maintained, and the room was what I'd been hoping to find for a while. One of the finest hotels in the Ruby area, whether you're with family, a partner, or on your own. Worth a visit.

The staff were attentive and helpful, and they apparently have another section with better rooms that may look more like the photos. I seem to have been put in the old section, though, and mine was worn out. I wouldn't pay 2,800+ INR for two nights here, and it isn't worth even 800-1,000 INR a night. The room was filthy: the linens, side table, mini fridge, kettle, and stained headboard were all awful. The toilet looked nothing like the photo. There was no water or toilet paper unless you asked, and the only toiletries were one tiny soap and two tiny shampoo sachets. The food menu was overpriced, maybe four-star prices, while the hotel itself was in shambles. And you can't even write this in the OYO app review because it hangs at just the wrong moment.

The location is the main reason to stay here. It's close to VFS Global, shopping malls, and the local market, so it works well for visa appointments or a short visit. Housekeeping cleaned regularly, and the location is excellent. My room still felt poorly kept, with visible patches behind the bed. There were no toiletries or complimentary water, and the TV only had local channels. Dish TV needs an active subscription, so entertainment was limited. The hotel feels like it hasn't had a real upgrade in 10 years. Staff were moderate to slightly cold, not rude, but not very welcoming either. Breakfast was also disappointing. It has just a couple of fixed choices that you have to order in advance, served as one plate. That's not unlimited, as people generally expect from a complimentary breakfast. The hotel may suit you if VFS access is your top priority, but otherwise it needs work to meet current expectations.

OYO recommended this hotel, and I'm glad it did. We had a great time together, and the whole experience was really good. The staff were polite and helpful, and check-in went much more smoothly than I expected. 😊
