Park Street and the chance to get a feel for Kolkata are right nearby, since the location is in the heart of the city. The rooms are simple, clean, and kept in good shape, with the basics needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was plain but filling. The entrance is easy to miss, but stepping into the lift feels like entering somewhere entirely different. The place has the feel of a well-kept serviced apartment, which gives it a certain charm. The caretakers were warm and helpful, especially Mr. Akhtar, who responded quickly and did a lot to keep us comfortable. I'd gladly recommend The Aster Heritage for a comfortable stay in a well-located spot with an authentic Kolkata feel.

I felt safe and relaxed throughout my one-night stay in Kolkata, which mattered a lot as an older woman travelling alone. The hotel is only a few minutes' walk from the Visa Application Centre, and the staff were friendly, polite, and always ready to help, so the visit felt easy and stress-free. My room was clean and comfortable, and I especially liked having simple home-cooked food available. The central location also left me enough time to shop, with the markets close by. A good option for solo travellers, seniors, or anyone in Kolkata for visa-related work.

We booked at short notice, and the owner had the rooms ready when we arrived a couple of hours later. The staff were courteous and quick to handle requests, and we had no major problems. The central location is very convenient, in a historic building that I believe also houses places like Flurys and Peter Cat. I'd come back, especially if we can get a room with period furnishings. A couple of small things could be improved: the toilets and washbasins should be kept spotless, and the bed linens checked carefully after each laundry. I'd rate the stay a little above four.

The standout for me was the service from Ms. Divya Mallick and her team. Christiano, the Shift Manager, took particular care of our needs, and I was satisfied with how we were looked after. The top-floor rooms have a great view. The rooms themselves are quite small, but well ventilated and equipped with the basics for two people. The beds, pillows, and sheets are old and dated, though, and that detracts from the stay. They could also be kept tidier, as there are visible hard-water stains in the bathroom.

What made my stay at The Aster Heritage in Kolkata stand out was the hospitality. The staff were professional and attentive, and Christopher, the manager, was especially friendly and made sure everything went smoothly from check-in through check-out. The location is perfect, and my room was spacious, clean, and well maintained. I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.
