The host was great to deal with, and the boy at the property was helpful. It worked well for us and could suit a short city stay. The location is prime and easy to reach, though cleanliness needs attention: the appliances and kitchen cutlery should be cleaned, the cupboards are dirty and full of junk, and the AC vents need routine cleaning and maintenance.

We spent a week here for our visa appointment, and the staff were incredibly sweet and helpful. Tarak da and Saif were always available. Divya went the extra mile, sharing recommendations and even giving me chocolates when she found out it was my birthday. It was such a sweet gesture.

This was my worst experience, especially for what I paid. It's not really a homestay, more like a flat split into separate rooms that the owner rents out one by one. ₹2218 for a room like this in Kolkata, as shown in the attached photos? Think twice and look at other options before booking.

The location made getting around Kolkata easy: the homestay is a two-minute walk from Jatind das park Metro station on the blue line, near the junction of Hazra Road and Shyamaprasad Mukherjee road. It was also a good value. The building's caretaker was responsive and friendly, and the flats were regularly cleaned and kept tidy. Diviya was very pleasant and quick to respond whenever we needed something. We found the security well maintained, and the kitchen, shared seating area, and washing machine were all in very good condition. I also enjoyed the library, as I love books. My wife and I stayed from 8 December 2024 to 14 February 2025. We were there for family get-togethers and to spend the winter in Kolkata, where we have a home in NOIDA, Uttarpradesh. Our son, daughter-in-law, and grandson came from Delhi and stayed with us for three days. We chose to stay in both the two-bedroom and three-bedroom apartments during our visit. Both are on the second floor of a four-storey building. The two-bedroom flat faces north-west, while the three-bedroom one faces south-east, toward the main road and the building entrance. Both are furnished. The washroom door in room 2 and the door in room 5 need a plumber's attention. It would also be useful to have a washing machine in the two-bedroom flat. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.
