This is a bed and breakfast place, not a hotel, with just three rooms. Breakfast is offered, but for lunch or dinner you need to order food online. Let them know in advance what you'd like for breakfast. There's also a private art gallery on the same floor that you can visit. It's opposite the US consulate, so it could suit you if you have a visa interview. The property is 60-70 years old, beautifully renovated as a heritage stay, and the large rooms are kept clean. Just be aware that the lift is old.

They serve a delicious breakfast every morning, but lunch and dinner aren't available on-site. The cooperative team will readily help arrange food from nearby restaurants, and the attentive caretakers were consistently helpful, making my stay pleasant and comfortable. All the staff were polite and professional. The property is conveniently located on the second floor directly in front of the US Visa Embassy and is easy to access. There is a lift, though it wasn't working during my stay, which was a minor inconvenience.

I was really disappointed when they cancelled my booking 24 hours before check-in, saying the property was “sold out.” I'd booked the room more than three weeks earlier and paid in full upfront. The stay was for my mother's 72nd birthday, which made the cancellation especially upsetting. It felt highly unprofessional.

The complimentary breakfast was good, and the service was excellent. Rooms were very clean and well-maintained, and the outstanding hospitality alone deserves five stars. The OFC office is just a 10-minute walk away. The area feels safe, is pleasant to walk around, and is great for shopping. I'd definitely recommend this stay, especially for anyone visiting for VISA purposes.

Loved the colonial architecture and the slow, vintage feel. It's right in the middle of the poshest area of Kolkata.
