The location made getting around Kolkata easy, and the staff were polite and attentive, which made us comfortable. Food was excellent in both taste and quality. We had a wonderful stay at The Lindsay Hotel, Kolkata, and found it great value for money. I’d happily recommend it.

I paid ₹4000 for a night, but the property was in such poor shape that I wouldn’t recommend it at that price. The rooms, furniture, and facilities were old, damaged, and not usable. It felt neglected and unsafe, and the quality was nowhere near worth ₹4000. The hotel needs serious renovation. The one bright spot was the staff. They spoke politely and tried to help, which I appreciated, but good service can’t make up for a broken property.

The service is top notch, and the hotel’s vintage theme carries through the old-style furniture and the whole room. It’s also within walking distance of lots of popular places to shop, eat, and have fun.

It smelled like an ashtray. The staff tried to help and showed me another room, but its condition was still too difficult for me. I left without a refund and had to find another hotel. Maybe after a renovation this place will be different, but until then I’d stay away.
