The sheets and pillow were dirty, which made the stay worse. I came at 2:30 AM for an exam and paid ₹800 after the night staff said I could keep the room until 5:30 AM the following day. In the afternoon, another staff member said my booking only ran until 5:30 PM and that I’d need to pay more to stay longer. I tried calling the night staff to sort it out, but he didn’t pick up. The communication and hygiene were poor. I wouldn’t recommend it.

I booked three nights and left after just one. The price was high, and even with advance booking and payment they wouldn’t let me check in, so I waited for an hour. The room was dirty, the windows didn’t seal properly, and the AC wasn’t working. They didn’t provide clean sheets or pillows, and the bathroom was dirty too. Power cuts happened repeatedly, with no 24-hour backup or generator for lighting. My experience was poor overall. A dharamshala would be better.

I stayed one night, then moved to another hotel the next day. The room was dirty, there was junk under the bed, and the AC switch didn’t work. There was no free WiFi or breakfast, despite what was mentioned, and the price felt a bit high for the facilities. It was still a decent place to rest and freshen up, better than Kota junction.

I arrived in Kota, Rajasthan, at 1 AM on January 7, 2024, for an exam and needed a room from 1 to 9 AM, then again from 3 to 10 PM after the exam. I was leaving at 11:30 PM that same day, and it was very cold, so I checked Oyo for a room. I explained my schedule and need for those hours, but they had me book January 6 to 7 and assured me the check-in and check-out times could be flexible. When I reached the hotel, they refused to let me in even after I showed the booking ID. I had to look for a room in the freezing cold in an unfamiliar place. Oyo’s flagship support chat had no option for my problem. It was a terrible experience and not student-friendly at all. They weren’t flexible for a check-in outside the 10 AM time, even with a train arriving at an odd hour. They say they’ll cooperate and adjust, but they don’t.
