When I plugged in my laptop charger, the room lost power. I reported it, but the staff told me to vacate because they “won’t help.” There was no apology or attempt to fix anything, just rude, unprofessional treatment. This was one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in. A place that can’t handle a basic electrical load and has staff refusing to help guests shouldn’t be operating. Avoid it if you don’t want unreliable facilities and unhelpful management. Disgraceful, I’d give zero stars if I could.

We left after just one day, even though we had planned to stay four. The rooms were uncomfortable, in poor condition, and not worth the high price. The meals were also very expensive and tasteless. The lady seemed focused on money and didn’t respond properly after receiving it. She was rude and behaved badly, which embarrassed us. The children had no freedom to play, and when they were noisy she yelled at them. She could have calmly spoken to the adults instead. When we raised our concerns, she emotionally attacked us. It was a very uneasy stay, and I advise people not to stay here.

I checked in to this guest house on 15-03-2025 at 9.15 am with my wife and son. The room came with planned access to the kitchen and limited washing machine use. When my son plugged in his laptop, the room’s power tripped. The woman managing the accommodation blamed the laptop and refused to restore the electricity. When we pressed for the power to be turned back on, she was rude and told us to leave immediately. We had done nothing wrong, but were forced to find another place, losing precious time and suffering a lot of mental distress. To add insult, she charged Rs. 500/- for the time we occupied the room. As a regular traveller, this was my worst experience. I suggest avoiding this guest house in Kotagiri. There are many good rooms nearby with polite staff, and staying here will only spoil your mood.

I stayed at The Nilgiris Inn on a family trip, and it was a wonderful experience. The hotel is in a peaceful, scenic spot with beautiful mountain views, a lovely setting for a relaxing break. It offers great amenities and excellent service. I’d recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful trip.
