Hotel Kabani Palace

We stopped by for dinner and found the property clean and well maintained. The restaurant service was excellent, and both the food quality and portions were up to standard. There’s plenty of parking, including at the basement, where there’s also a party hall. The hotel is on the left on the way to Kuthattukulam, a few metres from KSRTC Bus Station Moovattupuzha. A nice spot for a quiet quick bite.

The staff were dismissive and unprofessional, with little respect for customers. On top of that, the biryani was shockingly bad: it didn’t taste fresh and fell far below even basic quality standards. The preparation felt careless. This was a complete waste of my time and money, and one of the worst biryani meals I’ve had. I’d think twice before choosing this place.

We checked in late, at 10 PM on Feb 18th, because my wife was having medical treatment in Muvattupuzha and we needed somewhere hygienic and reliable to rest. Instead, the stay made an already hard time much more stressful. Room 109 had cockroaches in the washroom, so we were moved to room 201, but that room had no fridge for my wife's medication. We had to use our own ice bags to keep it safe. The next morning the washroom flush failed, and we used buckets of water until it was repaired. Later, the lift went under maintenance while we were coming back from breakfast. My wife couldn’t climb stairs because of her condition, so she waited in the lobby for an hour. The AC was not turned on for her until we asked. It was heartbreaking to see her take clinical medication in a public lobby because she couldn’t get to her bed, and it could have been avoided. Management never offered even a “sorry” or acknowledged the inconvenience. I rely on reviews when making decisions, and I feel responsible for sharing how poor this experience was. If you need basic hygiene, working facilities, or empathy during a medical emergency, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

Being so close to the KSRTC bus stand is convenient, and I really enjoyed the stay. The room was spacious, with the amenities well arranged, and the washroom was neat and had what a traveller needs. The people were helpful, the ambience was lovely, and the food was just as great. A wonderful place.
