Palmtree Leaf

Early morning on the terrace around sunrise was especially peaceful, with a refreshing view. I picked Palm Tree Leaf Resort, Munnar for its scenery, and the balcony opened onto lovely mountains and greenery, a great place to unwind. The room and bathroom were clean, hygienic, and well looked after. Everything felt fresh and comfortable throughout my pleasant, memorable stay.

There isn't much to do or walk around within the property, which was the only drawback. Still, for the price, my stay at Palm Tree Leaf Resort, Munnar was worth it, and I'd recommend it to anyone wanting peace and a beautiful view. I chose it after seeing the balcony photos on Google Maps, and the mountain scenery lived up to them. The terrace is even better between 6:00-7:00 AM for sunrise, absolutely mesmerizing. The room and washroom were very clean and maintained, with a pleasant fragrance. I had dinner and breakfast there, and both were tasty. Dinner was one chappathi, two parottas, and Kerala chicken curry, with satisfying portions and taste. Complimentary breakfast included idli, sambar, chutney, bread with jam and butter, cut fruits, a boiled egg, and parippu vada, all good quality.

The rooms were clean, well maintained, and had everything we needed. Staff were polite, helpful, and attentive, and made us feel cared for. The balcony had a beautiful, aesthetic view and was a lovely place to relax. The whole atmosphere felt calm and welcoming throughout our wonderful stay. I'd highly recommend it for a cozy, memorable getaway.

The food was a highlight for us. We had breakfast and dinner, with tasty Kerala dishes at breakfast, generous portions, and a limited but enjoyable selection. There was no lunch available because the chef wasn't there in the afternoon, and nearby food options seemed to disappear after 8-8:30 pm. The room was spacious and clean, with a lovely valley view and sunrise over the mountains. Some utilities were missing at first, but they brought them after we asked, and hot water was available. A hot air balloon and handloom factory were right in front of the hotel, and massage was available a few steps away. The dining area is reached by a steep slope, and the hotel is a little far from central Munnar.
