Mr Jayaprakash was a kind, flexible host who was always happy to help, and I can wholeheartedly recommend this homestay to families spending time in beautiful Kovalam. We had a lovely week at his place. The house was well set up when we arrived, with the bedrooms arranged just as we had asked. He gave us clear directions to the beach and handy places to buy food. I especially enjoyed seeing the fish market, and the fresh prawns were delicious.

We enjoyed the atmosphere as a family, and the owner was very kind and available whenever we needed help. The homestay is within easy walking distance of the light house beach. It was clean and tidy, and the kitchen had the utensils and everything needed for cooking.

We found Gokulam after spending several holidays in Kovalam, and both of our stays there were just right. The house is spacious, with two bedrooms, a living room, and a well-equipped kitchen with teapots. Drinking water was available at a fair price, too. It’s peaceful, though you have to walk about 200 meters from the nearest road since cars can’t reach the house. The host helped with our bags when we arrived and left, and arranged a taxi for us. Thanks, Mr. Jayaprakash, for being so welcoming and helping us whenever we needed it. It’s the best holiday home we’ve found in the area.
