I was lucky to find this homely place and book four nights. It’s an easy walk to beautiful Kovalam beach, with plenty of good restaurants nearby, and I’d love to return for longer. Martein arranged our transfer from TVR, and I can’t thank him enough. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, the rooms were cleaned daily, and fresh water was brought every day. My basic room was clean, had plenty of storage and mosquito protection, and the beds were comfortable. I had a great shower, and the fan in my non-AC room was fine. Breakfast was fine too. I loved the stay, and Kovalam was especially memorable.

Kovalam beach was an easy walk away, and the whole team were lovely. My AC room was great, and the fan and mosquito protection worked well. I also enjoyed the simple, tasty breakfast. Thanks, Martien. I hope I can come back.

We arrived in the afternoon to find nobody there. A staff member walked past a few minutes later and pointed us to a card with a phone number, and the host turned up shortly after. It didn’t feel very secure, and the host apparently isn’t available after supper. There was just one room photo, and it didn’t match what we were given. Our room was cramped, small and dark, with a bedside light that didn’t work. There were no bathroom photos either. The bathroom was tiny, with the shower right beside the toilet and no partition, and there was no hot water at the sink. The Wi-Fi was too weak to use, so we switched to the room next door, but it was just as bad, and that room had no hot water. The door lock was difficult too. At breakfast we got instant coffee, and the Kerala dishes on the menu weren’t available. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it.

A quaint little spot with a lovely, peaceful feel, great for a quick getaway. The beach is a minute away on foot, and there are lots of cafes close by. The staff were nice and the service was great.

It’s a quiet, nice place to unwind, and we enjoyed our time here. All the attractions are only a few minutes’ walk away.
