Pappukutty Beach Resort

The room was in poor condition in this very old building. The AC barely worked, and there was no central AC. The bathroom was awful, the jet spray didn't work, and there wasn't even toilet paper. Breakfast was no good either. There's no lift, and having a room on the second floor was difficult for us because we had elderly parents with us.

Our S1 suite was spacious, and the view was good. The resort sits right on the beach, which means quite a walk from the main road, something to keep in mind. But several things made the stay disappointing. The advertised Jacuzzi was broken and wouldn't hold water, and the toilets weren't clean. We had no cups at all, even for water, or an electric kettle. When we asked reception, they deliberately told us to buy tea and coffee instead of using a kettle, though we needed it for hot water. Even in what was considered their best room, there was no phone to reach reception, which was inconvenient. There was no WiFi, and breakfast had very few choices. The food was poor and gave us heartburn, which left us concerned about hygiene and preparation. The beachside setting, view and room size were positives, but the missing basics, maintenance issues and food quality fell short of reasonable hospitality standards.

The peaceful atmosphere and sea views made for a relaxing stay. Our room was clean, the staff were very friendly, and everything seemed well maintained. It's a great beach resort, and I'd recommend it for a getaway.

I stayed at the resort on 15th and 16th Nov'25, and it was awful. There were no food options available and no amenities. The rooms were dirty, dust fell from the fan, and cockroaches wandered around the bathroom. The staff were very rude, acting like letting us stay was a favour. Don't make the mistake of booking just because the pictures look good.
