The Raviz Calicut

The location is very good, with everything close by. Our room and bathroom were spacious, and the price felt fair. The complimentary breakfast had a good spread, service was good, and staff were courteous and helpful. Since my family hadn't slept after the AC trouble, they let me take food to the room for the rest of us, which I appreciated. The pool was okay, though not being able to bring food or drinks to the pool area was a miss. Maybe that's their policy, and I can't go against it. The play area was nice. Unfortunately, our room AC stopped at 3am and stayed out for two hours. The engineer fixed the problem twice, then it needed fixing again at 8 30am and was working by 10am. Our night's sleep was ruined.

The restaurant was the highlight for me, both the food and the staff. Though it's called Keraleeyam, every dish I tried was really good, North Indian, South Indian, Chinese, and Continental. Ms.Anju and Mr.Antoson were smart, efficient, bright, warm, and caring. If I feel like staying here again, they'll be one of the main reasons, along with the excellent food. The staff overall were extremely warm, courteous, and friendly, and I was happy I chose the property because of them. The bedroom was nice and spacious, with a lovely view at night, from 1103 on the 11th floor. But the air conditioning was a problem: the blast hit the wall, then blew forcefully at our heads. I tried switching it off, but then it got very hot and stuffy, and there was no fan. Around 3:00am I finally realized I could switch my feet and head positions and sleep well. This was my first visit here. I'd been to Raviz's lakeside property at Kollam once and was super impressed, but this one was nothing like that. More like a 3 star hotel than a 5 star hotel.

We had a pleasant one-night family stay at The Raviz Calicut. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were courteous, and breakfast was good. A great place for a short family visit in Kozhikode.

The food selection was the best we’ve had, and the cake was delicious. The team at The Raviz made my husband’s birthday party unforgettable, taking care of every detail just as I’d pictured it. Planning was smooth from the first conversation. A huge thank you to everyone. Highly recommend.
