The meals were a real highlight, fresh, delicious, and clearly prepared with care. From the time we arrived, the welcome felt warm and sincere, and the humble, attentive staff kept smiling and made us feel at home. With the peaceful Himalayan surroundings, The Mocana Himalayas made for a comfortable, luxurious-feeling stay. We left with lovely memories and gratitude to the whole team. Highly recommended if you’re looking for peace, comfort, and thoughtful service.

The room stayed hot because of the centralized heating. We were given a fan, but barely slept for two nights. The Wi-Fi was also out all night from check-in on Dec 24, despite repeated complaints and even a router being brought to our room. That caused major inconvenience and financial loss. In-Room Dining was the best part: the food was excellent, and the staff we dealt with were polite, understanding, and supportive. The hotel staff were humble, but the front desk couldn’t fix the problem, and good food couldn’t make up for the poor response. We were promised timely updates the next day, but on Dec 25th we waited almost two hours before being told staff had back-to-back meetings. After the night we’d had, being left waiting like that was unacceptable. The compensation offered was lunch, which made little sense because meals were already included in our package and we’re usually out sightseeing. We were also told there’d be no refund even if we checked out early, so we felt stuck. They mentioned a 15% discount on Kufri activity tickets, but at the ticket counter we were told they hadn’t received any such communication from the hotel. They did offer an hour of complimentary billiards and, as requested, made our driver’s meals complimentary, which had previously cost Rs.100 +tax per meal. This was meant to be a special trip, my son’s first hill-station visit. Despite the helpful staff we met and the good food, poor communication, lack of accountability, and ineffective resolution ruined the experience.

We had a lovely mountain panorama from the room, with the Shivalik ranges in front and the Himalayan ranges rising behind them. The sunrise was spectacular, worth giving up some sleep for, and the large windows brought in plenty of morning light. The rooms were spacious, thoughtfully designed, and very comfortable. The chefs were especially accommodating, happy to adjust flavors to personal preferences. Meals were fresh, flavorful, well presented, and good value for money. The hotel’s calm setting and natural surroundings made the stay feel peaceful and luxurious. Some maintenance and upgrade work was happening, but it didn’t inconvenience us. Management handled it smoothly so guests weren’t disturbed. The children’s play area was cute and thoughtfully set up, though a few enhancements could make it even better. There’s also an adults’ play area, giving the family more to do. The place combines comfort, scenic views, and warm hospitality. It suits a relaxing or family getaway, or just time unwinding in nature. Highly recommended if you’re after a 5-star experience with memorable mountain views.

The front desk team, especially Ms. Manisha Chauhan and Mr. Rahul Bhardwaj, helped make the stay so enjoyable and memorable. We had an extremely comfortable visit at The Mocana Himalayas Kufri. Our room was clean and well maintained, with a beautiful view, and the staff were courteous, professional, and humble.
