Eco Trails Houseboats

We liked having a swimming pool, and the staff were helpful. It’s a quiet place with a capacity of eight rooms, and we stayed a couple of nights. Breakfast choices were limited, while lunch or dinner had to be ordered in advance. They can also arrange boating from the canal-side entrance.

We brought all the managers from our office here for a leadership gathering, and it worked really well. There was a good mix of heritage character and modern comfort, with clean, well-kept rooms and the amenities we needed. The food had something for everyone and tasted great. We especially enjoyed an evening in the pool together, a fun way to unwind. A great spot for a team meetup or a peaceful break. Highly recommended.

I came back to Tharavadu for the second time, this time for a friend’s wedding. The old-fashioned heritage rooms are kept in immaculate condition. Older buildings can have pest issues, but everything here was pristine, and the service was on par with any five-star hotel. Breakfast was very good and homely. My only complaint was the pillows, which felt air-filled like balloons and weren’t comfortable.

I was travelling alone by bicycle, and William kindly helped me find a good place to leave my bike overnight and pointed me in the right direction when I set off. The staff were very kind. Kumarakom Tharavadu Heritage Hotel is a unique, peaceful place, and I really enjoyed my stay. The pool is beautiful too.
