Niraamaya Retreats Backwaters and Beyond Kumarakom

I twisted my ankle, and the staff looked after me so well. They even changed my room twice to make sure I was comfortable. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and caring. The place feels like a private paradise with a beautiful lake view, and the yoga instructor was the best. I'll miss it a lot and definitely hope to come back.

Set among greenery and calm backwaters, Niraamaya Retreats Backwaters & Beyond, Kumarakom was a great break from city life. We enjoyed the food, which offered both Kerala flavors and international choices. The peaceful atmosphere and focus on wellness made the stay memorable. Highly recommended for a relaxing, luxurious escape surrounded by nature.

The price felt far too high for what we got during our two nights at Niraamaya. The property looks lovely outside and the rooms are spacious, but the upkeep and service didn't meet luxury-resort expectations. The rooms felt dated, Wi-Fi barely worked, and we had to keep asking for basic things, even pool towels. Meals were very expensive for small portions. We explained a dish was for a child, but it still came out burnt. Staff generally seemed inattentive and unhelpful. For what they charge per night, we felt brands like Taj would have provided much better service and a far better stay. This was overpriced and disappointing.

Anand, the resort Manager, was helpful when there were problems with our booked room, and they accommodated our needs. The staff were all friendly, and the food was excellent, with a great chef. They also serve high tea. The spa was a great experience and a must try if you want to rejuvenate. The property is good, though parts of the room need maintenance and refurbishment. Overall, we had a nice stay.
