Manu, the caretaker, was friendly. At night the property was left to us without the caretaker around, which had both good and bad sides. This is a budget homestay in kumarakom, suitable for 3 families spending a couple of days together. They serve home-cooked food, which was a nice touch, though choices are limited. Check the food cost in advance, as the spread seemed expensive.
It's a lovely room in a welcoming family home, and the homemade food is a good way to try Kerala specialties. The place is great for relaxing, though it's a bit far from the bird sanctuary. That distance also helps make it so peaceful. A nice place to stay.
