What stayed with me most was how kind the staff were. Their smiles and willingness to help made the place feel comfortable and welcoming throughout my visit. At Hotel Raj Shikhar in Ujjain, the clean, cozy rooms gave me a peaceful place to rest after a long journey. Being near Mahakaleshwar Temple also made the visit convenient and gave me more time to focus on the spiritual side of the trip. I felt cared for, almost like a guest in someone’s home. It was a calm and memorable experience, and I’d happily return.

The owner spoke rudely and disrespectfully to my parents, while the manager just laughed instead of stepping in. That made the place feel especially uncomfortable for women and families. They also demanded extra money when we needed the room, citing bogus hotel policies. Our family’s stay at Hotel Raj Shikhar was terrible. The hotel was overpriced, rooms were poorly maintained and unhygienic, and even the basic facilities promised online weren’t provided. The bathrooms were dirty, the rooms smelled foul, and there was no hygiene. We got no help with complaints, the staff were rude, and management took no responsibility. The place felt unsafe, ruined our family trip, and was a waste of money. Strongly not recommended. It deserves zero stars.

The room interior was good, and the hotel has parking. It’s about 2 km from Mahakal Temple, which was convenient for us. But the room seemed not to have been cleaned before check-in. There was visible dust, even on the bed, and the towels were frayed and didn’t feel hygienic. The location and interiors have potential, but housekeeping and hygiene need a lot of improvement.

Service was painfully slow, and no one seemed willing to take responsibility. Staff were rude, unprofessional, and uninterested in helping. Even basic requests were ignored or met with attitude. It was absolutely disappointing and not worth the money.
