Hotel Sindur

The room was acceptable for the price, and both the AC and shower worked. There was a blanket, but no geyser, so no hot water. Mouse droppings on the bedsheet were a serious concern and point to a need for better pest control. The reception staff were unhelpful too. I asked three times for help with my large bag, but had to carry it myself to the first floor while the staff member was on their phone. The owner, on the other hand, was accommodating. When Agoda acknowledged its website error over the advertised room type, the owner provided an AC room at no extra charge. Later, the owner also moved cattle away from the hotel entrance late at night so we could leave safely. The listing on Agoda showed a Standard Double Room with TV, AC, and Wi-Fi, but on arrival the owner first said it was a non-AC room. Check the room details directly with the owner before booking, especially through a third-party site. The hotel is about 4.3 km from Mahakaleshwar Temple by car, a 13-15 minute drive. We drove ourselves and parked at Mahakaleshwar Mandir parking for ₹30 for 12 hours. I don’t know what the rickshaw fares from the hotel are. For the price, Hotel Sindhur was a mixed bag, so confirm that the listed room features and facilities are what you’ll actually get before finalizing your reservation.

The rooms were really good, and the service at this hotel was great too.

The staff treated us well, and the service was excellent.

Such a lovely place to stay. I really liked being here.
