Avadale Thekkady - Stag Groups Not Allowed

The hospitality was good enough that I'd recommend this place to family and friends. Breakfast was good, and when we got back late in the morning from an elephant camp visit, the manager kindly arranged delicious sandwiches. A place to dry clothes would be helpful. That's my only other comment.

The reception staff kindly answered all our questions, and the rooms were clean, though the layout is old. Since the hotel is near the jungle, guests have to sign a rules and regulations paper and follow the instructions. They don't accept boys groups. Families can stay, but with utter caution, and kids shouldn't roam around. Still, a good stay.

Rooms 101 and 102 were good, and the food was better than at many other hotels. Cleanliness and comfort were satisfactory. I was seriously concerned about privacy and safety, though: the bathroom window is fully transparent and visible from outside, which is especially uncomfortable for female guests. Management should replace the glass with frosted or tinted glass, or add proper coverings.

The greenery, plants and trees make Avadale Resort look lovely and peaceful, a great place to relax. We booked breakfast with our room, and the food was tasty and well prepared. Staff were friendly and helpful the whole time, and service was excellent. I had an amazing experience and would definitely recommend it.
