The spacious, comfortable rooms really did feel like a home away from home. We had a lovely stay at this beautiful homestay, surrounded by greenery. The hostess was incredibly helpful and went out of her way to get us tickets for local attractions, including elephant camp and karali shows, on busy days.

Everything is within walking distance, including elephant camp, the kathakali/kalari center, and Periyar Tiger Reserve ticket booking. Our stay was very comfortable, and the host was friendly. The homestay was calm and peaceful, and we had a lovely time there. Highly recommended for families travelling.

A lovely place with a great owner. If you’re going to Thekkady and Periyar Tiger reserve, you should book here. The Periyar tiger reserve safari and Elephant Camps are within walking distance.

The location made our visit especially convenient, right across from the elephant camp and the Kalaripet and Kathakali centre. Sebastien and Joshini were so kind and always ready to help. We had a peaceful, comfortable stay with our group of 8-9, and would happily come back.

We found this place on Airbnb and were really pleased with it. The location is a big advantage: the sights are close enough to walk to, and the rooftop gives a view of the elephant safari and cultural activity venue. There are also plenty of decent restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The house has three large rooms with attached bathrooms, plus a dining hall and a living room with a TV, sofa, and a few extra beds. Upstairs, there’s a pleasant home with a balcony overlooking a green garden, and all the facilities we needed. The hosts were the best part. They helped arrange things we asked for and even came with us to book tickets for the elephant ride, Kathakali, and kalari shows. Thanks for the cheerful service. Their daughter Ameirah Mariam was so sweet to invite us in, and we had a lovely time. A strong option for families or a group of friends visiting Thekkady.
