OYO 9262 Recluse Premiere Hotel

We booked through Booking.com, where we were first prompted to reserve without paying. Later, I got a message asking for an advance payment, but I couldn't make it because no payment method was available. On arrival, the place was a third-class motel or lodge, with unsanitary sheets, rooms, toilets, and hallways that smelled unpleasant. Please don't consider this place.

We booked three rooms for two nights, from 24 Dec to 26 Dec 2023, for our family. At 4000 per night per room, the charges were exaggerated for a short-stay type of place. The bedsheets were dirty and smelly, the bathrooms were in pathetic condition, and the whole building was poorly maintained. There was no lift, so moving luggage was painful. They had no restaurant and ordered breakfast from outside, which was poor quality. It's far from Madekeri, the main tourist attraction, so staying in the main area would be better. The web photos are fabricated, in my view. This is a big no for a family, a very disappointing experience. It doesn't feel like a hotel, just a building with rooms.

We had an excellent stay. When some issues came up, the staff cooperated and helped us change rooms. They were willing to help in every way they could, and it felt like a good, safe, comfortable place to spend time.

After seeing the property, we asked to cancel the booking, but they still charged us for one night's stay. We had booked it as a Treebo property based on the reviews, which all seemed fake, and it didn't meet the standard. The rooms were just closed spaces with basic beds and very little room. The restaurant wasn't even as good as a roadside tea cafe. It was overpriced, unsuitable for families, and more like a bar with rooms available. Also, some reviews show a swimming pool, but the property doesn't have one. Very disappointed.
