Sarthak Residency

We visited in May 2019, and I’m not sure what the footfall is like in season. The residency can accommodate 40 people at a time. Our semi-deluxe room was plenty for us, with deluxe rooms and even a suite also available. It’s a peaceful place to stay on Neil island, and the staff were polite and cordial. We loved the lawn seating, where you can dine or sit outside at night for post-dinner talks. The washrooms were clean and had a full set of toiletries. The TV wasn’t working, but that didn’t bother us since we only used the room at night and explored Neil during the day.

The coconut and papaya trees, along with the evergreen garden, really touched my heart. This is a simple, nature-close place, yet an excellent one for a stay. We visited with family on 12.07.2019 and spent one peaceful, enjoyable day there. It’s about one kilometre from the Jetty, the staff are cordial, and the in-house restaurant serves great home-cooked food. The complimentary breakfast was good, and there’s complete privacy in the resort room.

The breakfast and dinner were good, and service was good too. Rooms were comfortable and fairly clean, with an open lawn and seating in the middle of the property. The main issue is power: when it goes out, there’s no backup. That may be fine in winter, but summer heat would make it a big problem. Water also becomes limited when the power is down. There’s no telecom service, so to ask anything, you have to go from your room to the manager, if they’re there. Room: 4/5, service: 4/5, management: 3/5, hygiene: 4/5, food: 4/5.

A nice resort with comfortable, clean cabins set apart from each other, and a lovely lawn. The food was good, though you have to place your meal order in advance at the resort restaurant.
