Empire Apartments

The studio was new, and having an inbuilt kitchen was really handy. I booked a suite with a kitchen, and it came with all the basics for cooking, from oil to spices, though no vegetables. There was hot and cold running water around the clock, daily drinking water, and no water problems. There’s no inbuilt heater, but Mr. Raj kindly arranged one. Laundry was available, with clothes usually back the next day depending on the weather. Empire Studio Apartment sits in the center of the market, with grocery shopping nearby and several cafés around. It’s not right in Leh Market, though, about 5-8 minutes by car or roughly 30 minutes walking, depending on your pace. Taxis and autos weren’t easy to find, but the studio arranged rides whenever I asked. I stayed for a week and had a wonderful time. Mr. Shoad helped plan my stay, making an itinerary around the places I wanted to see while keeping to a reasonable budget. He was generally reachable, but I had a small problem contacting him when I arrived because he was traveling and had limited connectivity. Mr. Raj, the caretaker and receptionist, deserves a special mention for being kind, patient, professional, and always ready to help make things right. I’d give Empire Studio Apartment a 10/10. There were a few minor inconveniences, as can happen anywhere, but the stay was comfortable and I’d definitely choose it again.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the staff were helpful. We had a truly amazing, memorable stay at Empire hotel, with great service. I recommend staying here.
