Hotel Ladakh Continental

The rooms are spacious and tidy, and the hotel has secure, gated parking. It’s close to the old Leh road and around a 10-minute walk from Leh market. Food service runs for limited hours because there aren’t many guests, so after it closes you’ll need to find food elsewhere. I’d recommend the hotel to travellers, and you can find good booking deals through MakeMyTrip.

There’s no elevator, and the parking area is small, but free WiFi is available and digital payments are accepted, including Gpay. The ground-floor restaurant served good food on time. Rooms are spacious and have all the necessary amenities, and the staff were helpful and cooperative. The hotel is on a narrow road, though it’s easy to spot. A good option for staying in Leh.

They kept a room for me after I called when my flight was cancelled, which was kind of them. The staff are polite, and the rooms are nicely decorated with WiFi. It’s about a 15-minute uphill walk to Leh main market, and booking offline can get you a good deal. The restaurant serves only “jain veg food”; they can arrange non-veg dishes from elsewhere on request, but it takes a long time.

The staff were cheerful and well behaved, and that was the hotel’s biggest asset for me. I stayed for a week in June 2018 and had a comfortable, enjoyable time at Hotel Ladakh Continental on Old Road, Leh. The rooms and washrooms were clean, with hot water, WiFi, TV, and other basic amenities. Whenever I asked for a basic facility, it was provided promptly. It serves as a base hotel for tourists visiting Leh Ladakh through Hazel Tours.
