Hotel Lingzi

We stayed three days. The hotel is within walking distance of Leh main market, and you can see Leh palace from the terrace. Rooms were large, very clean, and had 24Hrs hot water. Breakfast was good and the staff were polite.

The property is conveniently placed near the market and Mall Road Leh, and I love it enough to have stayed several times. But the service is bad, the breakfast is just OK, and the manager, Mr. Rupesh, has not been accommodating on several things across my visits. He seems like a very nice person, but this year I had a bad experience and felt the owners should address how guests are treated. It comes across as though White tourists are favored. That's OK, but we're paying too and would like equal treatment. Please don't let petty issues ruin the property. I feel forced to choose somewhere else now.

The staff were kind and good, but we had a bad stay. Our five family members couldn't sleep well because the beds were bad and the rooms poorly ventilated. The suite rooms on the top floor get extremely hot, soaking up the day's sun. In our first-floor bathroom, boiling hot water came from every tap and was too hot to touch. Reception gave a strange explanation that the adjacent room might have turned on its hot water, then told us to run all the taps for 20 minutes and waste water until it cooled. That didn't solve it. In the morning, no water came from any bathroom tap. Reception took 15 minutes to fix it, but we had to leave for an early flight. The only plus is the location near Leh market, so you don't have to walk far.

We were at Lingzi Hotel with our three little children. The room had lots of space, and the dining room offered a good selection. Up on the roof, there's an excellent gazebo with panoramic mountain views, where you can sit outside while the kids run and play safely. The hotel is very central, just a short walk from the main pedestrian street and everything else. The owner and staff were kind and welcoming. We'd love to come back next time.
