Nimmu House Ladakh

It’s a charming hotel with attentive staff and excellent food made from produce grown in the garden. Such a little corner of paradise. There are lots of places to visit nearby, so plan on staying at least 2-3 days to enjoy it properly.

We stayed for 2 nights and loved the quiet, natural setting. Sonam and Indrani gave us wonderful hospitality, and the food was great. We needed meals without garlic and onion, and they got that exactly right. A lovely place, definitely worth visiting.

The homemade meals and the calm, cozy feel of Nimmu House made it easy to settle in and relax. We stayed in lovely tents that were comfortable and carefully looked after, and a handwritten welcome note was waiting inside. We were there to acclimatize before our Ladakh trip, and Indrani and Vikram made the stay feel personal from the start. They were thoughtful hosts who made sure we had what we needed, like staying with friends rather than being looked after transactionally. Nimmu House is a peaceful, soulful place, and we'll remember the warmth of it for a long time.

The care put into the little details is what made Nimmu House so memorable, from the tents and rooms to the handwritten welcome note and the service. The team, especially Indrani, Vikram, Sonam and everyone else, made sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. And the resident pups, Zero and Slow, were lovely too. It's tucked into quiet Nimmoo, about a 45 minute drive from Leh, with fruit trees, sunflowers and other plants all around. We were lucky enough to pick fresh fruit from the trees. There's a pretty courtyard for reading or eating, and the farm to table meals were fresh and delicious. I'm not sure why it's listed as a 2 star hotel, since it felt more like a 4 or 5 star stay. I'm grateful we got to experience this place, and I'll definitely come back.
