The family running Silver Cloud were cordial and helpful, and the clean rooms had decent space for luggage and moving around. It has more of a homely feel than a typical hotel, and gave us a peek into local life. We had a nice breakfast and a filling dinner with several Ladakhi dishes. They also helped plan our sightseeing so we could cover most places during our short three-day stay. They said the property would soon get central heating and that they planned to add some more facilities.

The room was a highlight, especially the Sunset room, which was beautiful and super cozy. The bed was really big and reaaally comfortable. The family who runs Silver Cloud were so warm, and took extra time to understand what we wanted from our time in Leh before organizing or recommending trips, bikes, and restaurants to suit us. We had such a wonderful time. If SilverCloud has vacancies when you're planning a trip to Ladakh, I'd book without a second thought. You won't regret it. Thank you, Stanzin and family. We can't wait to return and stay with you.

Those mountain views were lovely, and the rooms stayed warm thanks to the heaters. We were in Leh in March 2019 and chose to stay with a Ladakhi family because we wanted to experience their culture. Stanzin and his family were so supportive with all the arrangements, even in the extreme weather. The rooms were spacious, clean, and neat. A big thank you to Stanzin, his father Sonam Ji, and his lovely mother for making us feel like part of the family. We’d happily stay with them again on a future trip to Leh.

The tour arrangements were relaxed and never tiring or stressful, and all the staff were polite. We booked a full 10-day tour and stay package with them for our recent Ladakh trip. Their traditional approach to hospitality was something we really enjoyed. We had a lovely time at Silver Cloud and came away with great memories. I’d suggest getting in touch with them before planning a trip to Ladakh.

If you’re planning side trips to Nyuma, Nubra, Pangong Tso, or Tso Moriri, ask the Silver Cloud management for advice. They can also suggest cabs or bikes for getting around. Our stay at Silver Cloud Ladakh felt like being at home, with homely food and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were courteous and supportive, and took good care of us. It’s a wonderful place to stay in Leh.
