Seven Seas Guest House

Room 9 looked out toward the mountains, and everything was clean and comfortable. They had tasty masala chai, plus other snacks and drinks, either as room service or in the dining room. The brothers You if and Naseer were lovely hosts, warm and accommodating, and made the stay feel good.

I spent about two weeks in total at Seven Seas, and it was a great stay. The quiet little street is close to both the market and downtown. My room was cozy, with a comfortable bed, a hot shower, and a clean washroom. They also brought an extra blanket when I asked. Manzur, the manager, was always helpful and on top of things. He kept my belongings for a few days while I went to Pangong lake, arranged my airport transfer, and was ready to answer my questions. I'd definitely recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting Leh.

Even though I'd called the day before and the team confirmed they had rooms, staff refused to give me one at check-in, saying they were full. They showed me a small, dirty room at a nearby guesthouse, which I wouldn't accept. After I confronted the team and complained to Goibibo, they gave me a room in the same Guest house that had been available all along. The staff were cooperative, but breakfast was served very stingily. There were only limited bread items, and anything extra cost more. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR STAY AT THIS GUESTHOUSE.

The wifi worked well, and the view of the snow-covered mountains outside was great. A very good hotel.
