The Saraha

The attentive front desk manager was especially helpful, and the whole team, including the kitchen staff, was outstanding. They let us check in early and kindly kept our luggage for several days while we went on a tour, which was very convenient. We liked The Saraha so much that we came back for an extra night. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and spacious, and it’s an easy walk to the main market. Highly recommended for the comfort and service.

We spent five nights here and enjoyed our stay a lot. The hotel is quiet, set back from the road, with a nice garden out front, and the main market is about a 15-minute walk away. Our spacious, well-equipped room had wooden floors, nice furniture, and everything we needed. From the balcony, with two seats and a table, we could see green trees and mountains. Nothing to complain about!

The cook from Himachal made some of the tastiest food I’ve ever had, better than delicacies I’ve tried in big cities. I’m vegetarian, so I only sampled those dishes, though other guests told me the non-veg was awesome. Hotel Saraha was a treat, with panoramic mountain views, especially the snow-clad peaks. I stayed in room No. 304 from September 8, 2025 to September 12, 2025, and the comfort, luxury, service, and food beat any hotel I’ve stayed in. The staff were courteous and helpful, and Manager Mr. Dinesh was the picture of courtesy, always helping with a smile. I’ve travelled all over India and stayed in many hotels, but never met an owner like Mr. Stanzin. He’s down to earth, spends time with each guest, and makes sure everyone feels at home. I was actually sad to check out. His warm manner sets the tone for the staff, who treat guests with respect and are always eager to sort out any issues. If you’re thinking of visiting Leh, think only of Hotel Saraha.

We were extremely happy with our stay at The Saraha. The rooms were very good, with a small balcony overlooking the lawn. The food was excellent, and the staff were always smiling, helpful, and courteous.
