Hotel Royal Darbar by OYO Rooms

The hotel was awful. The toilets stank, the entrance and rooms were extremely dirty, and there were cobwebs around the room. The bathroom had no mirror. No towels or sanitary kit were offered, and when we asked for towels, the rude staff refused. The kitchen looked dirty too, and the AC in one room wasn't working. We booked through OYO and deeply regretted it. Stay away!

There's room service for food until 12:30 am, so it was nice to spend the night with friends. The property is clean, though the rooms aren't very spacious. Everything in the room worked, but the fan doesn't reach the bed, so book an AC room.

The staff were very supportive, and the hotel management will help find an auto. You'll need that help, though, as it's far from the station and transport options are almost nonexistent. An auto costs 150 RS. The food is average for the price, and would be good if it cost 20% less. Hygiene was a real problem, especially in the washroom, which was so dirty it made me feel sick. They only get the room ready after you arrive, and it's hard to find anyone at reception. If they sort out the hygiene, I'd be willing to spend 150 for an auto each time.

My wife and I had a really harrowing stay at Hotel Royal Darbar. When we arrived, nobody was at reception, and it took about 15 minutes for someone to come help us. We were taken to a room where the fan, AC and phone line were all out of order. They moved us to another room with a working fan and AC, but the toilet hadn't been cleaned. The phone still didn't work when I tried calling reception, and the doorknob came off when I tried to open the door. They moved us a second time, and again the fan and phone weren't working. That was enough, so I called OYO and asked to be moved to another hotel, which they did. I'm still surprised a low quality place like Royal Darbar had a 4.0 rating. I also saw an older couple who arrived after us leave with their belongings.
