La Petite Maison

Dagdu mama, the villa's caretaker, was polite and helpful, and I was given an early check-in. There's a small general store 50m from the villa for basic needs, plus many books and a few board games that aren't mentioned in the Stayvista/MMT listing. I had a good experience overall, but I'm taking off one star for three reasons. We had to change our stay dates because the owner needed the villa for my booking dates. Cockroaches were running around in the bathroom and kitchen, and there was a dead one in the hand towel provided, as shown in one of my uploaded images. The glass room's bathroom also had poor finishing.

The rooms were artistically decorated, and the vintage furniture and beautifully manicured gardens were especially attractive. It's a comfortable, beautiful place that is very well maintained. We enjoyed home cooked lunch, dinner, and breakfast prepared by a very efficient cook. There were games for the kids too.

The glass room is brilliant, and each bedroom has its own eclectic feel and theme. Set into the hillside, the place has a classic, nostalgic colonial feel, with rooms spread across two different levels. It's got its secrets and moods. Strong recommendation from us.

It's a heritage type villa, so you won't find all the amenities you'd expect in a modern villa.
