Lagoona Resort

We stayed at The Lagoona Resort, Lonavala for a wedding, and the property’s spacious, beautiful setting worked really well for the celebration. The lagoon area had a lovely atmosphere for events and photos. The wedding food was delicious and offered good variety, and the functions were organized smoothly by polite, supportive staff. Our room was clean and comfortable. It was a memorable stay and a great venue for weddings and family events.

The view from our executive room was breathtaking, and that was the one good part of the resort. My stay was terrible, and I’m laying out the details so others aren’t misled by what I consider FRAUD 5STAR REVIEWS. This Taj Mahal is managed WORSE than a Dharamshala! Our room wasn’t ready for check-in. The shower gel dispensers were empty and only refilled two days later. The advertised Biotique toiletries weren’t provided; they use unbranded products. Although the room had a bathtub, there was no bath foam, and I was told to use shampoo instead. One day, with two of us staying, they provided just one towel because the others had gone to laundry. At the restaurant, they offered live dosa and live egg omlette the next day, then told me LPG was expensive. As a VEG eater, I found that offensive. The restaurant experience was pathetic, and listing it all would make an awful essay. Staff were cold shouldered: valets told us to pick up our own car, and housekeeping took 2/3 hours to respond to requests. The GM blamed inefficiencies on high LPG prices and cost cutting, which was such a JOKE.

The food was outstanding at all three restaurants, Cinnamon, The Patio, and Tipsy Horse, each with its own atmosphere and plenty of variety. We had fun with the well-organized adventure activities, and the pool was a big hit. The kids’ play area, indoor games, and activity zones kept us busy throughout. Our candle light dinner was elegant, thoughtfully arranged, and really special. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The property is well maintained and has a calm, scenic feel that puts you in holiday mode. From the warm hospitality to the planned activities, the stay felt smooth and memorable. A lovely family-friendly resort with luxury, fun, and relaxation together. Highly recommended! 🌿✨

The facilities were kept in good shape, and the resort itself seemed nice. What let the stay down was the staff: our calls went unanswered, and when we needed help, nobody provided proper support. Good infrastructure can't make up for that. I hope management takes the lack of responsiveness seriously.
