Mystica Resort

The friendliest part of our stay was the farm's people-friendly pets. The property itself is nice, but it was badly maintained, and the food was pathetic. They couldn't organize breakfast for 34 people properly, so it arrived in bits and we ended up with bread and butter. Room service was poor and the rooms were dim. The DJ was set up on a stage because dancing on the grass wasn't allowed, so it felt like we were performing there.

The food was excellent and fairly priced, but getting to and from the city cost ₹150 each time, so having your own vehicle is necessary. There aren't resort activities, which made the place feel more like a regular hotel. The property could use better maintenance, room service was poor, and the bathroom had no exhaust or window.

The staff were kind and friendly, and our room was clean with the toiletries we needed. There is space to play cricket or football on the grass, though using the gym costs extra. Mystica has a decent pool, but it feels small once around 15 people are in it. The property also has a lake and boat, although the boat wasn't operating when we visited. It's well suited to weddings or corporate events, with decent parking. The grounds are pleasant, with large trees at the entrance and room to walk, run, or jog. It's on old Lonavala Road, about 10 to 15 minutes from Lonavala Market. The rooms are spacious, the infrastructure is good, and the food was okay. We had a nice stay.

The House Boat Barbeque Restaurant stood out for me: you can cook kebabs right at your table, which would work nicely for a date or family get-together. The rooms also have good views of the pool, natural lake, and hills, and come with a flat-screen TV, refrigerator, and air conditioning. We found the resort a comfortable place to unwind, with a pool, breakfast, 24-hour front desk and room service, plus free parking. There are options for different budgets, from super deluxe and interconnected rooms to suites and a honeymoon suite with a jacuzzi. Mystica Resort sits on five acres of sheltered land and has about 45 rooms. Its modern international design includes some local touches. The description says the resort is 3 km from Khandala Railway Station, among Khandala's hills. Families have a lagoon pool with a small waterfall and other activities for kids. There's also an in-house health club. Reversing Station, about 1 mile away, and Rajmachi Park, about 0.7 miles away, are within walking distance. Bhushi Dam is 6 km away, Karla Caves 13 km, and Lohgarh Fort 14 km. The staff look forward to welcoming guests.
