OYO 13328 Rainwood Residency

The surroundings are quiet and green, and room 302 was nice, fully equipped, and had a balcony. The restaurant does its best to serve good food. The location is good, though the reception guys seemed to spend more time on their phones than cleaning and servicing the rooms.

The food was tasty, though a bit expensive, and the staff treated us well. We also liked the quiet area away from the main city, while still being near the railway station and city. We stayed for three nights and gave it five stars at first, but problems came up: bathroom water pooled into a small lake, the Wi-Fi didn’t work, and the AC wasn’t cooling properly, so we were sweating. Our room was very close to the restaurant, with noise throughout the day, so it wasn’t peaceful. Apart from the kitchen noise, there were no other disturbances.

The music played morning and night, and when we asked for it to be turned off, we were told that wasn’t possible. The balcony and rooms were poorly cleaned, with dirty sheets and pillows, and the bunk beds left hardly any space to walk. There was no water, glasses, or dustbin in either room. In the second room, staff told us to get the dustbin from outside. There was also no AC remote. They advertise Wi-Fi, but wouldn’t give us the password, saying it wasn’t available for guests and was only for the cameras. At 10 pm, we found the door lock was broken. Staff refused to change rooms or fix it and spoke rudely, nearly walking away when I asked about the lock. The next day, after speaking to the manager, we were moved, but the new room was missing water, glasses, and a dustbin too. Nobody offered to carry our luggage, so we had to ask. Food was extremely overpriced, and they made us pay right after each small order, even for tea or a cold drink, instead of charging everything at checkout. On the third day, the kitchen staff refused to give us plates for outside food, which the hotel allows. They first said they’d bring plates, then 15 minutes later said they wouldn’t. Very bad experience. This hotel should shut down.

At 2 am we just wanted a bottle of mineral water, but the receptionist refused because the kitchen was closed. I said regular water from a jug would be fine, but he said that wasn’t possible either. No one had told us water or room service stopped after 11. We had to walk 1 km to another nearby hotel to get water. In the morning, nobody in the kitchen answered the phone. Reception told us to go get water ourselves if the kitchen wasn’t picking up. They seemed completely unconcerned once they had our money, with no real hospitality or room service. Refusing even plain water at any hour felt inhumane, especially since I was willing to do without bottled water. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Go at your own risk and bring your own water.
