Whispering Woods Resort-Lonavala

The gardens and open grounds were a nice place to spend time with friends and family, including playing cricket or football. The location is convenient, with Mapro within walking distance, and the food was okay. Our booked rooms weren't provided, though we did get a discount as compensation, and the room we were given had a sink that kept leaking. Better room maintenance would make this a very nice place. I would have rated it four stars otherwise.

We had a very good corporate offsite at this resort. The food was especially enjoyable, and we appreciated the scenery, ambience, service, hospitality, and how the staff treated us.

The rest of the stay was just okay, but the reception experience left a bad impression. We arrived around 12:30 pm on 27 December to check in for the two shamiana tents I'd booked for my family. When I asked the receptionist about check-in, she said rudely that she was helping someone else and couldn't assist. I waited about 15 minutes, then she began checking in another guest before me. When I said I'd arrived earlier, she rudely insisted that the other guest had come first. An elderly man had already been waiting at reception for over 30 minutes, and she spoke to him in much the same unprofessional way. The first contact at a hotel matters, and this poor handling made the start of our visit quite unpleasant.

Our group had a good time here, and there are plenty of things to do, including the DJ at night, swimming pool, garden, children's play area, carom, and TT table. Food quantity and quality were good enough, and the staff were cooperative. There are also nearby places to explore, such as one or two dams, Ekvira Temple, Maapro Garden, and Sunils wax museum.
