The restaurant is still good, and getting around from the hotel is convenient. I’d stay again if someone made an honest effort to maintain the property. It has lovely interiors and must have been thoughtfully built, which makes its current state a shame. There’s mold and seepage in the rooms, fungus in the bathroom, and wallpaper is peeling. The TV didn’t work, the main door latch was broken, the bathroom blinds were badly aligned and left an embarrassing lack of privacy, and the lights wouldn’t switch off. The bed’s headboard was broken too. It all points to very poor housekeeping and no repairs, and I wonder why the current management is overlooking it.

I can’t recommend this hotel to anyone expecting a clean, safe, family-friendly stay or honest service. It doesn’t justify the price, and my experience was very bad. The room and bathroom were poorly maintained and unhygienic. Drains were dirty and clogged, there were leakage stains and rusty shower fittings, and the bathroom was badly cleaned. The headboard and chair upholstery were torn, the wallpaper was stained and peeling, and the cracked mirror seemed unsafe. The overall hygiene didn’t meet even basic hospitality standards. Service was just as poor. Guests are either not allowed to receive food orders or are told delivery will cost extra, which felt unreasonable and unprofessional. The hotel presents itself as child-friendly, but there are no arrangements or facilities for children, and breakfast had hardly any suitable options for them.

The restaurant’s sandwich was delicious, and the hotel has good quality, modern amenities. Shops and restaurants nearby are limited, though the metro station and Aminabad Market are close. Hot water and room heating made the chilly Lucknow mornings easier.

Cockroaches in the room, no slippers or basic amenities despite the high price, and not even one bottle of water. This was the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. The amount on the bill was less than what I’d actually paid, and after taking my payment the receptionist was unhelpful. They’d asked me to pay early, before I even stayed.
