Hotel Deep

The tiles weren’t fixed properly, and while I was staying there I worried the building might collapse at any time. It looks like a hotel from the 90s. This is the worst hotel I’ve ever visited, and I’d never recommend this dharmshala as a place to stay.

I booked a single room and also checked out the double room. Neither felt like deluxe luxury, and the building is old. I had an issue with the bathroom too. It’s more like a lodge. If you’re visiting solo, I’d still recommend it.

Good service, and the staff were courteous.

The waiters seem as old as this classic bar and restaurant in Lucknow, and they really add to the atmosphere. They also know how to give excellent service. What I especially liked was that they ask outsiders where they’re from, then check if they’d prefer the food made to suit the tastes of their area. I said I was from Mumbai, and the schezwan came out exactly as I know it there. They make it differently otherwise. I haven’t come across this kind of hospitality anywhere else.
