Hotel Hallmark Regency

The location is great if you're coming by train, and the staff were decent. I stayed for only two days, but liked how spacious the rooms were compared with other budget hotels. They have imported O General AC units that can cool the room within minutes.

At this price, it wasn't worth 1000 rupees. We were there for only 2days, my father, mother, little sister, brother, and I. The room didn't feel like a hotel, and whenever we wanted tea, coffee, or water, nobody was available to help, so my father had to fetch everything. There's no restaurant either. For 1000 rupees, plenty of dharmshalas offer a good room, AC, and food, and even one for 700rupees can provide better service and wifi. There was no Wifi available here. Since it's an OYO collab, I didn't expect much, but it still isn't worth the price except for people on a tight budget who aren't going for a 3000rupees room. If you're opening a hotel, provide facilities that make 1000 rupees feel worthwhile.

The staff were good, but they couldn't fix the state of the hotel. It's very old and not maintained properly. The central AC had failed, so I had to sleep in a warm room. Hygiene and upkeep were below standard. When I removed the blanket, there were blood stains on the bedsheet. Yuk.

The room smelled bad and was in terrible condition. The mattress was damaged, and there was no parking, despite Oyo promising parking at the hotel. I don't understand how Oyo gives a place like this a good rating.
