Breakfast felt like a meal at home. I was with my family, and the host made dosa, sambar, paddu and chutney herself. She speaks gently and politely, and seems to really enjoy welcoming guests. It’s such a beautiful, quiet place that you could live there for months. The rooms are spacious, airy and clean. One of the best homestays I’ve ever visited.

The homemade breakfast was included, and it tasted good. Rooms were neat and clean, making this a nice choice for a family stay. Prasad, the caretaker, was friendly, there when needed, and gave us good sightseeing guidance.

We had a very nice stay at Treebo Avyukta from 8th to 10th Dec, 2025. Mrs Komal Devaiah was hospitable, and I promised her we’d return on our next visit to Madikeri. The cozy rooms felt homely and the service was good. It’s in a quiet residential area, yet close to the shopping street, and you can walk to the city centre.

If you’re after a peaceful stay in a beautiful villa, this could be great. But if you expect proper service and arrangements, it really isn’t the place. The main attractions are nearby. We went during the Diwali holiday and were told there was no maid available to clean the rooms. In the end, the receptionist did it. He was often away from his desk, so I had to call whenever I needed something. Drinking water for the dining area arrived quite late after I asked for it. Breakfast was delicious, made by aunty, but service was slow. It came in small batches, and the receptionist had to run downstairs to bring more. Parking is limited, so two extra cars could make it difficult. This is a homestay, much more like a beautiful home than a hotel. We chose a small room, but it had a balcony with a jhula, which my daughter loved. The receptionist was in a hurry when we arrived and didn’t provide toiletries, a towel or bin liners. We asked, but the owner only handed them over by evening. You can make coffee with the provided cup, milk powder and coffee, though there was no spoon for stirring. Rooms are on the first and second floors, so you have to use the stairs. The dining area is on the second floor, with plates and spoons but no glasses, though you can ask for one.

Everything is within walking distance, and the Indian breakfast was very good. The rooms are fantastic, and the owner was friendly and helpful. A lovely little hotel. We’d definitely come back. :)
