Coorg Wilderness Resort & Spa

The room, location, and facilities were amazing, but the meals let us down. Dinner had a good spread but tasted bland, and breakfast was just okay. Since we’d paid so much for both, we expected better tasting food. We booked through Goibibo.com with late checkout included, but the hotel didn’t extend it.

We almost hated to leave after just three nights. Everyone made us feel at home and treated us like friends. Manager Anthony checked on us every day, and another manager, whose name we didn’t catch, was just as attentive and genuinely concerned about our well-being. Plenty of other staff members whose names we can’t remember were lovely as well. The spa treatments were wonderfully thorough, and the facilities were stunning and very clean. The massages were honestly among the best we’ve had. I can’t remember the therapists’ names, but every one of them was fantastic and professional. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and had unobstructed mountain views. We were glad we chose a Hill View room. Shivani took care of it and was professional, warm, kind, and sweet, always checking that everything was right. Vinoth also made sure everything worked and checked in on our comfort. Breakfast was a treat with the restaurant’s unbeatable views. We tried both the buffet and à la carte dishes, and liked both. The restaurant is very large, the service was excellent, and Ankit was especially friendly and attentive. At reception, Punam was kind and helpful, and we were given a very warm welcome and goodbye. The whole property feels like a nature retreat, beautifully maintained and clean despite all the lush vegetation. We had a truly exceptional stay at Coorg Wilderness Resort, with a chance to disconnect and relax.

The spa was really good, though very expensive, and the food was average and could be better. The resort is beautiful and the rooms are lovely, but the lighting in our room was dim. Since we were attending a wedding, getting ready in the evening was a little inconvenient. Because it’s on a hill, there are lots of steep slopes. Buggies can take you around, but even stepping out for a walk from the room made me think twice.

I was there for a wedding and had a fantastic, really enjoyable stay. The dining areas are beautiful and the food was fantastic. The resort is surrounded by nature, and the natural landscape is one of the things I appreciated most. The rooms are very spacious, with every amenity, and the bathrooms are clean and well equipped. Coorg Wilderness Resort is one of the finest, most luxurious resorts I’ve stayed at, and a great choice for a weekend getaway.
