I booked two nights, from 29 Aug 2019 to 1 Sep 2019, but the place was not suitable for a family. Many rooms smelled bad and had bed bugs, and Hindi and English channels weren't included in the free package. Before 8 am, you have to go outside for tea, coffee, or milk. At checkout, management asked guests for five-star ratings in exchange for 500 OYO wallet points. I called OYO customer care at 8:30 am on 31 Aug 2019 to report the problems and ask to move properties. Even after following up several times, I got no solution before checking out on 1 Sep 2019.

The rooms are just okay for a two-star hotel, and there's no room service. Hot water and drinking water are available. Before heading to Madikeri, call the hotel and confirm your room. Don't book through Google ads with 5% payment.

The restaurant associated with the hotel was awesome, and the city location made for a convenient stay. The WiFi didn't work, and there was a stinking smell with no room freshener used. They provided two water bottles and soaps. OYO online payment wasn't accepted. They said to pay separately or the booking would be cancelled. I'm not sure why OYO isn't getting preference, but something needs to change.

Hot water, good internet, and a helpful reception desk made the stay satisfactory. The rooms were dirtier than the OYO pictures suggested, with dust on top of the cupboards and inside the shelves.

There was no parking, and the bathroom wasn't clean. I booked through OYO but didn't receive the OYO soap or mineral water. When I asked at reception, they added a charge for them. The lodge owner also pressured guests to give a five-star rating in front of him at checkout, which could explain some of those ratings.
