Hotel Sree Devi

The location took a bit of figuring out at first, but our stay at Sri Venkateshwara Hotel was pleasant and good value overall. We booked a suite with a queen bed and a single bed, and it had centralized air-conditioning. The rooms were comfortable and well maintained. Breakfast was complimentary and had enough choices: idli, ven pongal, kichidi, vada, bread, fruits, tea, coffee, milk, choco chips, sambar, chutney, and cornflakes. It was decent, though the taste could be better and didn't fully meet our expectations.

The map showed the wrong route, but the staff and guard helped us book an auto for mandir darshan. Parking was adequate, and the location was convenient. The atmosphere was calm, staff polite and helpful, and toiletries were provided. The rooms were spacious and clean, making Hotel Venkateswaraa Madurai a comfortable place for our family. I'd recommend it for a peaceful stay.

The security staff deserve a special mention. They were helpful in every way and would call a driver to arrange an auto whenever someone needed one. The front desk team was efficient and helpful too, and room service was good. There's enough parking inside for around 8-10 cars, the bathrooms are spacious, and hot water runs 24 hours. Under the Thevar Paalam on Tiruparangundram Main Road, this is a modest, calm, neat hotel. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and spacious. The only drawback is that it has a veg/non-veg restaurant, but there are no veg hotels within 2 km. Otherwise, it's an excellent place to stay during a visit to Madurai.

I stayed for two nights. The room was dusty and the floor felt sticky. The air ventilation wasn't proper, and water drained slowly from the toilet because the drainage wasn't maintained well.
