We booked for just one night and had a very bad experience. It’s an old property with no ventilation, and the rooms were full of lizards. The bathroom tap had such a weak flow that it took almost 10 minutes to fill a small bucket. There was no sanitation or hospitality to speak of, and it’s not worth what they charge. I strongly wouldn’t recommend staying here, especially for families.

We lost the advance payment, and when we tried to sort it out, the replies were blunt and aggressive. There was no cooperation, or even a respectful conversation. The staff were rude and unprofessional, especially Ahmed, who became shockingly disrespectful after the advance was paid. The so-called “vintage home stay” was in terrible condition, with poor lighting and an unhealthy atmosphere. It felt more like a haunted house than a welcoming home, and more like a scam than a hospitality business. It’s not suitable for families. I strongly urge others not to fall into the same trap and to avoid this property. There are far better and more honest people.

Finding ROYAL STAY VINTAGE took extra effort because it wasn’t properly marked on Google Maps. The reception lady was lovely, though, and patiently answered all our questions. The breakfast was complimentary, with idli, vada, and sambhar from a local outlet. It was decent, just satisfactory overall. We could easily order meals through Swiggy. Our room had no windows and felt a bit claustrophobic, but for a one-night stay it wasn’t a major concern. The property has a cozy, personal homestay feel, with vintage charm and modern comforts. The traditional Tamil Nadu home atmosphere stood out, as did the spacious, well-kept rooms and antique furniture. Global souvenirs fill the common areas and make them warm and inviting. It’s a good choice if you enjoy a vintage-style stay.
