Hotel Rahil Plaza

The management has changed and, to me, the quality has gone downhill. The food wasn’t even average, especially considering what they charge. A half fry egg was 100 rupees, and it was prepared entirely in non-refined oil. I also saw child labour there. The older people used to look after their guests, but everything seems different now and doesn’t feel worth the price. Please make sure before you stay or visit.

The blankets in our room were torn and dirty, with what looked like love-making spots left by a previous customer. They should be cleaned before being given to someone else. The hotel’s old infrastructure needs maintenance, and the room rates are far too high for its condition. Tourists would be happier to pay if the amenities were good.

There’s a masjid next to the hotel and a restaurant downstairs. It’s a convenient location, with a decent choice of rooms, and I think it’s a good family hotel for Muslims. There’s a pool and slides too, though people tend to avoid them in cold weather. Hot water is available from 7 am until noon. Rates change depending on the season and whether you visit Monday to Thursday or on the weekend. Alcohol isn’t allowed.

The rooms are neat and clean, but small, around 120 square feet of carpet area. The pool opens at 9 am, which isn’t much use for most guests, and the swimming itself wasn’t up to the mark. Food prices are a little high. It’s a good hotel otherwise.
