There was no proper parking. They told guests to leave cars on the ground floor between structural pillars, calling that parking, which felt unsafe and risky. The room was full of mosquitoes, and although staff said they’d bring a Good Knight repellent when I asked, it never arrived. There was no intercom either, so contacting staff was difficult. I paid for a Deluxe Room, but what I got didn’t match the advertised description or standard. The property was very unhygienic and poorly maintained, making this one of the worst stays of my life. I’m extremely disappointed that MakeMyTrip lists places with high ratings that don’t reflect what guests actually experience. Promoting hotels like this can mislead customers and undermine trust in the platform. I strongly urge MakeMyTrip to review the property and stop entertaining or promoting such hotels.

We booked a quadruple room, and it was spacious with four beds. The rooms are generally roomy and well maintained. There’s wallet parking, and the beach is nearby, though the street is narrow. The heritage sites are close too.

The staff were good, and the beach and other monuments are close by. For vegetarian food, Ananda Bhavan is the nearest option. There don’t seem to be many veg choices in town, or maybe I couldn’t find them as a non-Tamilian. Parking space is a bit limited, so the hotel wanted me to leave my car keys with them. I wasn’t comfortable doing that, and they asked me to park in a tight, hard-to-reach corner instead. That was fine for me since the attractions were walkable. I only needed the car for Tiger caves and at checkout.

The owner is kind and always ready to offer guidance or help. The location is great, and the family rooms are spacious. Room service was excellent and took care of all our needs. My all-time favorite hotel to stay at in Mammallapuram.
